MSc programme only Course 9: Research Design & quantitative methods (60 credits)
The Research Portfolio will comprise a Literature Review and an original Research Proposal. Written in the format of a research paper (Literature Review), and a grant application or ethics application (Research Proposal) with an appendix of other relevant material (e.g. the advice for contributors from a chosen journal). Candidates must also complete a practical exercise of competence in data handling / analysis and together these three assessments will confer the 60 credits.

[A reflective account (2,500 word max) should also be submitted for formative assessment (only) on the experience of formulating the research proposal]

b any short essay may be submitted for continuous assessment after completion of a course, and prior to the semester deadline
c there may be additional scheduling of Course 3 in Semester 2 in order to service demand for CPD places
d there may be additional scheduling of Course 4 in Semester 1 in order to support demand for CPD places
