Diffusion Tensor Imaging for Acute Detection of White Matter Damage - 24hr pMCAO
L Gallagher & C McCabe (2007)
Left panel shows a T2 weighted image from 2 different coronal slices of the rat brain 24 hours after permanent middle cerebral artery occlusion (pMCAO). Infarct is shown as a hyperintense region on the T2 images. Middle panel shows the Fractional Anisotropy (FA) map from the respective T2 slices. Right panel shows colour coded FA map. Red indicates medial-lateral, Blue indicates anterior–posterior and green the dorsal–ventral movement of water.
