Postgraduate Studentships
Each October, several PhD studentships begin within the Centre. Applications should normally be received at the latest by the end of February, but can be accepted in the following few months. These studentships are allocated based on student academic strength, referee reports and an interview, and are available in any of the research programmes. A selection of studentship projects are detailed below
For entry into the PhD programme for October 2013, contact Alex Mackay by email or in writing to Wellcome Trust Centre For Molecular Parasitology, Glasgow Biomedical Research Centre,120 University Place, Glasgow, G12 8TA, including a cv, names of at least 2 academic referees and statement of research interests. In a covering letter, please state up to 3 supervisors of interest to you.
Most of these Studentships are restricted to UK or EU nationals. We will consider applications from non-EU nationals if students can provide funding for their PhD. Exceptionally, studentships become available that have no nationality restrictions. These will be advertised on this web page. None are available for entry in 2013.
A further route to PhD study within the Centre is via the Molecular Functions in Disease, Wellcome Trust 4Yr PhD programme.
