Electrocardiology Core Lab

Work on Computer Assisted Reporting of Electrocardiograms (CARE) began in Glasgow in 1964. Today the CARE team form the Electrocardiology Research Group within the Institute for Cardiovascular  and Medical Sciences of the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences at the University of Glasgow and are located within Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Scotland.

The team is led by Professor Peter Macfarlane, an expert in the field of electrocardiography, who has over 35 years experience in the development of computer based systems for the interpretation of ECGs. Read more.
