The Biomarkers in Stroke Programme- A Polyomic Approach

We are attempting to develop new blood and urine based tests to help guide the care of patients with stroke. We are assessing levels of proteins, metabolites and small molecules of RNA using new approaches that allowing us to measure levels of hundreds of molecules at a time. So far we have developed urine tests based on proteins and metabolites that help us detect stroke and are now testing how well these work.
