Occupational health on the edge

Dr Macdonald's research interest on occupational needs of particular occupational groups has been further extended with a recent award from Forth Valley & Ayrshire & Arran Primary Care NHS Trusts. This study titled 'Occupational Health on the Edge' is set to carry out a scoping study to investigate the health care needs of Big Issue vendors in the West of Scotland. The health care and rehabilitation needs of a group employed at the margins of society, and linked to this, the most effective forms of health care delivery interventions (including vocational rehabilitation) for this group will be investigated.
