I have been developing approaches to improving the diagnosis and the treatment of bipolar disorder, including the application of novel ‘e-Health’ interventions which are likely to become very important in the future, both within the UK and globally.  More broadly, I have an interest in identifying biomarkers for bipolar disorder as well as exploiting existing databases in Scotland and across the UK which might help to identify features the ‘bipolar prodrome’.
