Issued: Mon, 26 Oct 2015 16:34:00 GMT

Next week (2nd November 2016), a workshop on  comparative aspects of telomere biology  will be hosted by members of the Physiology and Life Histories group.

The workshop involves 25 invited participants from around the world (Europe, USA, Canada, Australia). It will take place at a small hotel in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, and involves sessions on the role of telomeres in ageing and survival, telomere heritability, telomeres in the germline, telomeres and life history trade-offs, and comparative perspectives on telomere dynamics and tumour protection.

The workshop is funded by a Leverhulme International network Grant.
