'Risk and Connectivity: Media, Memory and Uncertainty', an interdisciplinary research arena
Prof. John Tulloch talking first on his collaborative research with Prof. Andrew Hoskins and the bringing together of the fields of Media and Risk, and Mediatization and Memory Studies, respectively. They are working on a book: ‘Risk and Connectivity: Media, Memory and Uncertainty’ which employs these fields in an analysis of a series of crisis events including: the global financial crisis, the G20 protest movements, the 2005 London bombings, the UK phone-hacking scandal, and the Coroner’s Inquests into the London bombings.
The second part of this video hears Prof. Tulloch talking on interdisciplinary and the centrality of this to his work.

Prof. John Tulloch gives a personal account of his experience as a survivor of the Edgware Road tube bombing on the 7th July 2005 and how this has shaped his self-identity, research and approaches to dealing with news media. He then goes on to speak as a victim of phone-hacking and his involvement in the Hacked Off group and he gives his response to the Leveson Inquiry and report.
