Digitisation
Digitisation projects can range in size and scope from the humble podcast to ambitious research collaborations into the development and use of multimedia in teaching resources across Scotland.
Why digitise?
Whether topping the iTunes' educational downloads chart with a podcast on the philosopher Immanuel Kant, or making a rare copy of the manuscript of Chaucer’s The Romaunt of the Rose available to view online, the University of Glasgow uses digitisation to:
- preserve diverse and valuable resources
- make educational materials available to learners beyond the University walls.
The University can also provide expertise in digitisation to external clients. The Hunterian Multimedia Studio offers a range of multimedia development services, including digital imaging, web development, and virtual tours.
