About Horizons

Welcome to Horizons, which showcases innovative research at Glasgow and the impact of our activities across the globe.

‌In this issue, you can read about:

• pioneering research into text and image interaction carried out using resources unique to Glasgow that has led to the fruitful introduction of comic books into the French curriculum
• the legacy of one of Glasgow’s many famous alumni – the missionary doctor and intrepid explorer Dr David Livingstone – and the many ways in which our scientists continue to play a leading role in combating tropical diseases today
