SUERC Director, Rob Ellam, receives Honorary Professorship from Tianjin University
Today, SUERC Director, Rob Ellam, received an Honorary Professorship from Tianjin University (TJU) – the highest award that TJU confers. Here, Rob is receiving his Honorary Professor Certificate from TJU Vice President, Prof. Hu Wenping.
Prof. Ellam then delivered the University’s Peiyang Lecture, one of an occasional series of distinguished lectures, and also lectured to graduate students in the newly established Institute of Surface Earth System Science.
Rob’s visit concluded with a visit to the new TJU campus where he toured the focal point University library which combines the best of historic Chinese tradition with stunning modern architecture.
