Neighbourhood networks in palliative care

What has been learned from this innovative Keralan model of community palliative care?

The Neighbourhood Networks in Palliative Care (NNPC) model of community participation in palliative care was initiated in Kerala in the late 1990s. It has now spread to other locations in India and to other countries.

Led by medical anthropologist and global health expert Dr Shahaduz Zaman, we are examining the concepts behind this model and the challenges of transferring the model to other contexts.

This research is part of our Wellcome Trust funded project Global Interventions at the End of Life.
