The Centre's History

The Robert Clark Centre for Technological Education was founded in 1987 and has, in the last few years, developed an enviable national and international standing in Technological Education in both teaching and research.

The Centre has academic and research staff who, together with associated staff, deliver three degree courses Bachelor of Technological Education and Bachelor of Technology Studies in Technology and Management to over 100 undergraduate students.

The Centre has in addition a number of full and part-time research students who are well supported by the research activities of the Centre. To date the Centre's staff have been awarded over two million pounds for research projects and have produced over 80 publications on improving education for technology & engineering and the effective use of Information & Communication technology for learning and teaching.
