Who has taken part?
What will happen to their answers? A big thank you to teachers and youth workers Feedback
Links to End of Award Report/Research Findings
We would like to say a very big thank you to the girls
who have taken part in the project. So far we have spoken to over 700 girls,
across Scotland. Most girls filled in a self-report questionnaire, but some
took part in a group meeting, or interview. They told us about different
things, for example what they did in their spare time, where they lived, about
their friends and family, things that other people do and things that they had
done.

Taking part in the project was confidential - that
means that anything we were told is private (except in special cases,
which we explained). We keep all our notes locked up, and do not put
anybodys name in the report. People just wouldnt speak to us if
they thought we would tell someone else what they had said. Nobody will ever
know the names of the girls who took part, where they lived or that you they
were involved in the project.

We are also very grateful to all those teachers and youth
workers who have helped us with our research. We would not
have been able to write about the views and experiences of
girls without their help.

Our analysis of data from the questionnaires, focus groups,
and individual interviews is still ongoing, but key findings
from the study can be found in the publications listed below.
