Academic Structures Implementation Group (ASIG)

The business of the Academic Standards Implementation Group is now complete.

Senate's decision was to opt for the status quo and therefore there will be no further changes to the academic year, at this time.

In November 2006 Senate approved the report of the Academic Structures Working Group.  An article on page 9 of Issue 281 of the University's newsletter provides more detail.

The remit of the group is:

• To drive implementation of the reforms recommended by the Academic Structures Working Group and approved by the Senate.

• To agree an action plan, and to ensure that all required actions are carried out by departments, faculties, and central services on the timescale set out in the action plan.

• To agree a communication plan, and to keep departments, faculties, central services, and the wider University community fully informed about progress of the reforms.
