Public Administration MPA
The Business School has decided not to run the MPA programme until 2013/14.
For the 2012/13 academic year, you may be interested in our MBA programme: MBA (Master of Business Administration).
The Master of Public Administration is one of only a few such programmes in the UK. It is designed to extend and enhance the skills of those involved in managing public organisations.
- You will focus on the practice of leadership and management of large and complex organisations. The programme will equip you with the insight and skills required to lead public organisations through periods of sustained change.
- The programme links you to professional practice with a series of seminars and workshops with public sector leaders.
- The University of Glasgow Business School is an accredited member of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
- In the most recent independent review of research quality (RAE 2008), 85% of management research was classed as of international quality, with 10% being world leading.

- MPA: 12 months full-time
You will take a series of core courses and choose from a range of optional courses. The courses are taught through a combination of workshop activities, collaborative tasks, lectures, seminars, presentations and distance learning.

A 2:1 Honours degree or equivalent plus at least three years’ management experience in a professional setting.
Pre-Masters course for international students
There is a preparation course for international students who don't meet the entry requirements. Completion of this Pre-Masters course to the required level guarantees your entry to this programme.
