Admission to Media Management

For entry to the Masters/MSc in Media Management degree course, our normal academic requirement is that candidates must have a good first degree – i.e. equivalent to a 2i or better degree classification from a UK University – and ideally in a subject area that is broadly relevant to one or other aspect of the Media Management programme. In addition, you are required to submit a personal statement of around 500 words explaining why you want to undertake the MSc in Media Management at Glasgow, along with an academic transcript, references, and linguistic proficiency documentation.
If you do not meet the standard academic criteria but have substantial relevant professional experience, you will also be considered for entry to the programme.

English language
If your first language is not English, the University sets a minimum English Language proficiency level. For this programme you will need to meet the general English Language requirement which is a grade of 6.5 (with no sub-test less than 6) or better in a British Council IELTS test. What are the fees for Media Management?
For the 2012-13 academic session, tuition fees for the MSc in Media Management are £6,000 for home/EU and £12,250 for overseas students. Further information about fees can be found here.
What about Funding and Scholarships?
There are no dedicated scholarships for this programme but applicants may find useful information at the University’s general website pages about funding and scholarships. Applicants for overseas are advised to consult their local British Council Office or the nearest British Consulate about possible sources of funding (e.g. Chevening scholarships). UK students may apply for career development loans available from the major clearing banks.
