International Business & Entrepreneurship

Programme structure

Core courses are completed during semesters one and two and include:

  • Global Business Environment
  • International Entrepreneurship & Innovation
  • International Marketing Management
  • International Strategic Management
  • Comparative Management & Managing Across Cultures
  • Business Finance
  • International Management Solutions
  • Research Methods

In the second semester, participants complete an International Management Solutions project. This is a consultancy project involving hands-on engagement with a real company. Students act as consultants advising a client on an international management problem/opportunity, preparing a report and making realistic recommendations as ‘international management solutions’.  This is accomplished by “management teams” where students work in groups of 5 or 6, managing their international projects collectively and then formally communicate the outcomes to the client organisation.

A Dissertation is taken in the third semester.  This is an independent research study, supported by training in research methods, on a topic in international business & management or international entrepreneurship.
