History (with an emphasis on the History of Medicine)

Why this degree?

The Centre for the History of Medicine at the University of Glasgow is recognised as a centre of excellence in the study of the history of medicine.  The Centre offers several modules for taught Masters students. These can be taken by students in any Masters programme. Those in the MLitt/MSc in History with an emphasis on the History of Medicine take one or two history of medicine courses and pursue a dissertation on a medical history topic. For students applying for Wellcome Trust awards, two medical history courses, and a dissertation on a medical history theme, are compulsory. Students are encouraged to discuss which Masters route is appropriate for them by contacting the Centre.
