Further Study
On successful completion of the 60 credit Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Chaplaincy students can continue to study within the MSc (Med Sci) Health Care programme. Possible Exit Awards are:
• Postgraduate Diploma in Health Care (Healthcare Chaplaincy)
• MSc (Med Sci) Health Care (Healthcare Chaplaincy)
Postgraduate Diploma in Health Care (Healthcare Chaplaincy) – 120 credits
To exit with a PGD a further 60 credits need to be completed from the courses running under MSc (Med Sci) Health Care. This is broken down as either:
• 3 x optional generic 20 credit course
• 1 x optional generic 20 credit course and Research Methods & Statistics (40 credits)
MSc (Med Sci) Health Care (Healthcare Chaplaincy) – 180 credits
To exit with a Masters a further 120 credits need to be completed from the courses offered under MSc (Med Sci) Health Care. This is broken down as:
• Research Methods & Statistics – 40 credits
• 1 x optional generic 20 credit course
• Dissertation comprising a Research based or Work Based Audit and Service Evaluation – 60 credits
