What current students have said about the programme

"This programme has helped me examine my work within and for communities in a critical way; challenging my own practice to be sure I work towards a truer sense of community empowerment and social change. It has helped me step back and see CLD as a broader, global field of work and has led me to alternative ways of engaging in popular education, which I am enjoying a great deal. Undertaking this is a massive, but extremely worthwhile effort."
Lynda Clements, April 2011

"This course has been very meaningful for me not only as a student and a practitioner, but also simply as a person. Through readings, class discussions, and writing essays I was able to explore the meaning and existence of communities as I had never done before; it has caused me to challenge social, political and educational institutions that shape the world in which we live - for better or worse. Now that the course is nearly finished, I feel as if I've only just begun."
