Clinical Radiation Physics (MSc (Med Sci))
The deadline to apply for Clinical Radiation Physics 2011-12 entry has passed.
Our top performing Masters students will be considered for a College funded PhD scholarship
This Masters programme in Clinical Radiation Physics is aimed at international students and provides a thorough grounding in theoretical and practical aspects of clinical radiation physics, giving you the opportunity to follow a successful career in the field.
- This programme is unique as it integrates theoretical and practical teaching in a clinical environment with students based in hospitals. Practical training is carried out using the latest NHS equipment.
- The research component of this programme allows you to develop valuable skills for practising and interpreting research.
- You will undertake practical training within the NHS Department of Clinical Physics & Bioengineering (DCPB), with modern facilities and state-of-the-art imaging and equipment, throughout the duration of the programme.
- The NHS Department of Clinical Physics & Bioengineering (DCPB) is accredited by the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM) as part of the Scottish NHS Consortium and subject to external quality assurance. The length of practical training is deemed insufficient for students to be able to sit the Part 1 IPEM professional examination but provides a basic grounding in each of three areas in the field.
