This degree is intended to prepare students for a career as a chartered town planner as a member of the RTPI.
Part1a: Understanding Cities, Markets, Institutions and Governance

Part 3: Research Experience and Skills (60 credits)
In Part 3, students work in depth on a planning and regeneration topic of their own choice (subject to the approval of the Programme Director), pursuing original investigative work through an academic dissertation or practically orientated action project. This work is supported by research methods training, review seminars and the appointment of an academic supervisor for each student.
