Brain Imaging (MSc)
Neuroimaging is fast emerging as a key technique across psychology, many areas of medicine and health sciences in general. The Masters in Brain Imaging will train you in appropriate research skills for brain imaging research, emphasising advanced methods in the field and will provide you with knowledge of advanced research in key areas of cognitive psychology and cognitive neuroscience.
- This MSc is an approved research training programme of the Economic & Social Research Council and can either be the first year of a ‘1+3’ funding package or qualify you for future ‘+3’ funding.
- In the most recent independent review of research quality (RAE 2008), psychology at Glasgow was rated in the UK’s top ten.
- You will benefit from access to the resources of the University’s Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging (CCNi), including a 3 Tesla fMRI scanner, MEG system, two TMS labs, and several EEG labs, including fMRI compatible systems. Dedicated motion capture suites record precise 3D body movements and facial animation sequences. Eye movements can be followed remotely using our SR Research EyeLink systems.

Normally at least a 2.1 Honours degree in psychology or neuroscience or acceptable equivalent(s).
