Aerospace Engineering & Management
Degree structure

As an Aerospace Engineering & Management MSc student, you will complete a series of modules over two semesters and an individual project and dissertation over the summer. If you start in September, you will complete the management courses first, which run during semester 1. If you start in January, you will complete the engineering courses first, which run during semester 2.
The courses in semester 1 consist of four compulsory management modules:
- Financial information management
- Management decision making
- Managing innovative change
- People in organisations
The courses in semester 2 consist of two compulsory modules and a choice of three optional modules. The compulsory modules are:
- Aerospace engineering project management
- Group project 2
The options for semester 2 are:

- Propulsion & turbomachinery 3 - Dr Richard Green
- Elements of law for engineers
- Aircraft structural analysis & design - Dr Chris York
- Introduction to aeroelasticity - Dr Eric Gillies
- High speed aerodynamics 4 - Dr Richard Green
- Methods for turbomachinery design - Dr M Sergio Campobasso
- Introduction to computational fluid dynamics - Dr M Sergio Campobasso
- Introduction to wind engineering - Dr Marco Vezza
The summer consists of an individual project and MSc dissertation.
