Degree structure
As an Aeronautical Engineering MSc student, you will complete a series of taught modules over the first two semesters.
During the first semester, six modules will be chosen from:
- Viscous shear flows
- Composite airframe structures
- Aircraft flight dynamics
- Aircraft operations and systems
- Aerospace control I
- Space flight dynamics 1
- Aerospace design project 4 (part 1)
During the second semester, six modules will be chosen from:
- Introduction to computational fluid dynamics
- Methods for turbomachinery design
- Introduction to aeroelasticity
- Introduction to wind engineering
- Flight testing 4 (places are subject to availability and a possible separate fee)
- Autonomous vehicle guidance systems
- Aerospace control II
- Advanced concepts 1
- Space applications
- Research techniques
- Aerospace design project 4 (part 2)
Additionally, field visits will take place during the second semester.
Summer work consists of an individual project and MSc dissertation.
