How to apply for a taught degree

What happens next?

When will my course start?

Most postgraduate taught programmes start mid-September. For any variations, please consult our online prospectus.

Am I entitled to apply for University accommodation?

If you are offered a place and are interested in applying for university accommodation you must submit an application to the Residential Services as soon as possible.

Can I have a letter to help me apply for a student visa?

If you are an international student we will automatically send you a Final Letter of Acceptance once you have formally accepted your unconditional offer. If you do not recieve this, please email: pgadmissions@admin.gla.ac.uk

Is there any extra help for international students?

In addition to your offer letter, International Students are sent details on International Orientation and the International Student Handbook. These can be accessed online through the International Office web pages nearer the start of term.

What happens after I have been accepted? How do I register?

Nearer the start of your course you will receive further information regarding your Departmental Induction and your programme of study.

Students are required to pre-register online before arriving on campus. The University Registry will send details of your user name and password with information on how to access your student records. It is not possible to fully register (matriculate) without pre-registering. If you have any difficulties pre-registering contact: surfhelp@mis.gla.ac.uk
