Supporting documentation
For all categories of applicants, your application must include the following documents:
- Application form
- Academic transcripts (and official translation into English)
- Degree certificate (and official translation into English)
- CV (European format)
- English language proficiency test certificate (if applicable)
- Proof of citizenship (i.e. information page of passport)
- Two academic references
- Erasmus Mundus Category A or Category B Scholarship application form (if applicable)
- IMRCEES Supporting Personal Statement form
Application form
All candidates for the Erasmus Mundus IMRCEES programme should complete the Consortium’s common online application form which is the standard University of Glasgow Graduate Studies application form.
Note: IMRCEES is committed to promoting access to applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds or those with disabilities or special needs. Applicants should detail their special needs requirements or particular personal circumstances (where applicable) on the 'Any other information' section of the online application form.
Academic transcripts (and official translation into English)
You must upload to your online application a correctly certified copy of your transcript of records in original language and an official translation into English. All courses taken must be included.
Degree certificate (and an official translation into English)
You must include a correctly certified copy of your degree certificate(s) in original language and an official translation into English.
CV
Your Curriculum Vitae (European Format) should include details of your academic career, any relevant work experience and significant achievements/awards.
English language proficiency test certificate (if applicable)
Applicants must provide evidence of proficiency in English in cases where English is not the student’s native language. Applicants whose first language is not English must achieve the minimum English language proficiency level specified by UoG. All test results must be no more than 2 years old.
General English language requirements
- IELTS 6.5 (with no subtest less than 6)
- iBT TOEFL 92 (with no less than 21 in Listening & writing, 22 in reading, 23 in speaking)
- Cambridge ESOL Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) - B minimum or Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) - C minimum
- Pearson Test of English (Academic) - PTE minimum score of 60 with minimum 52 in writing
- The Consortium accepts evidence of satisfactory language level from the University of Glasgow’s Language Centre Pre-sessional courses.

Proof of citizenship (e.g. information page of passport)
Proof of citizenship is mandatory for all applicants. A copy of the information photo-page of your passport should be scanned and uploaded to the online application form.
Two academic references
Applicants should supply two references (at least one academic and if appropriate, the other may be from the student’s most recent employer). References should be written on officially headed institutional paper. Students are requested to upload the references to the online application form and submit the references with the application and other supporting documentation.
However, we will accept references on officially headed institutional paper which are sent directly to the IMRCEES Consortium by post or as scanned email attachments to the following address:

Erasmus Mundus Category A or Category B Scholarship application form (if applicable)
All candidates who wish to be considered for a Category A Scholarship (Third Country/Non-European students) must complete the IMRCEES Category A Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Form and submit it with their online application and other supporting documentation before the scholarship deadline.
All candidates who wish to be considered for a Category B Scholarship (European students) must complete the IMRCEES Category B Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Form and submit it with their online application and other supporting documentation before the scholarship deadline.
The deadline for all Erasmus Mundus scholarship applications for the IMRCEES programme starting in September 2012 is 15 January 2012.
IMRCEES Supporting Personal Statement form
All applicants are required to complete the IMRCEES Supporting Personal Statement Form and submit it with their online application and other supporting documentation.
