Head of School of Engineering to discuss China collaboration on TV

Professor John Marsh, Head of the School of Engineering, will be appearing on the Business Channel’s ‘China Prospects for Growth’ programme at 8:30pm next Tuesday (11 March).

Professor John Marsh, Head of the School of Engineering, will be appearing on the Business Channel’s ‘China Prospects for Growth’ programme at 8:30pm next Tuesday (11 March).

The programme, one of a series of business documentaries on the topic of UK trade with China, will focus on the University’s collaborative research and teaching activities with the Chinese partners, in particular the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in Chengdu, Sichuan Province.

The School of Engineering has set up a Joint School offering a double degree including the BEng (Honours) in Electronics and Electrical Engineering. The University is also developing joint research projects with UESTC in areas including electronics, photonics and biomedical engineering, and more widely with other universities and institutes in China.

The Business Channel is on Sky channel 212 and Freesat Channel 401. The programme will be available to view online at www.thebusinesschannel.tv from Wednesday 12 March.
