Campus Card Project – Library Upgrade

Published: 16 May 2017

The security access system for the University Library is being upgraded this week for the new, Campus Card. What does this mean for you?

The Campus Card Project continues its installation work this week as the University Library is upgraded to the new access control system. Once the work is complete, all staff and students will need to use their Campus Cards to gain access – old cards will no longer work.

From the afternoon on Wednesday 31 May, the library turnstiles will only work with new Campus Cards. From Thursday 01 June to Sunday 04 June, library staff will endeavour to allow users with either their old OR new format ID card to access the building. On Monday 05 June, the library will require ALL staff and students to use their new Campus Cards only.

All staff and continuing students should have now received their Campus Cards – those who have not yet received theirs will be able to visit the Campus Card support desk from Monday 05 June at Accommodation Services. The desk will be open weekdays, 10am - 2pm, and will also print Campus Cards for graduating students who wish to continue using the library and sports facilities over the summer.

If you have any queries about your Campus Card, please contact the team by email at it-campuscard-team@glasgow.ac.uk.
