Engineers wanted to inspire new theatre

Are you an engineer? Would you like to share what you do with theatre-makers over a cup of coffee?

The Royal Academy of Engineering has awarded Glasgow Science Festival and the University of Glasgow a public engagement grant to develop engineering-inspired theatre in 2017.

Led by Dr Zara Gladman (Glasgow Science Festival), together with Prof Colin McInnes (School of Engineering) and Prof Carl Lavery (School of Culture and Creative Arts), the project – titled ‘Imagineer’ - will commence in May.

‘Imagineer’ will bring together Glasgow Science Festival, engineers, theatre students, actors and a musician for a truly collaborative venture. Engineering-inspired theatre and music will be performed to both school children and adults at free shows, later this year.

Are you an engineer? Would you like to share what you do with theatre-makers over a cup of coffee? Sign up to our networking session this Thursday 4 May. For tickets visit Imagineer Networking Session
