The University is commemorating the lives of each member of our community lost in the Great War. This is being led by the Chaplaincy. War dead will be remembered at 08.45 in the Memorial Chapel as close to the centenary anniversary as possible (weekends and University holidays permitting), followed by the planting of a poppy cross in the First World War Memorial Garden (facing University Avenue on the North Front. The dates of death are as reported to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission or information supplied to the University by the families.
