As some of you will know, a visual refresh of the University’s website is underway, write the University's Webteam.

You will already have noticed that the internal MyGlasgow sites for staff and students have adopted a new look and feel. The external site will also adopt a variation of this theme. Details are available at:

Initially high traffic sections will be updated, followed by a rolling programme to include academic and service units.

This switch will be seamless for almost all current content.

The refresh will offer greater flexibility in layout: allowing a mix of 1, 2 or 3 columns within a page. It will be easier to highlight important content, and to highlight our photography. In addition, visitors will see an increase in page speed.

As well as bringing a more modern look and feel to the site, there will be a greater focus on our external audiences and their web journeys: getting users to content they are looking for more quickly.
