THE asks 'what are you reading?', The Scotsman wants your comments pieces, and The Herald is looking for columnists.

Write for Times Higher Education

The new editor of THE's "What Are You Reading?" slot, Michael Reisz, is looking for contributors to their "weekly look over the shoulders of our scholar-reviewers".

"All I need is 150 words about a book you have on the go or recently finished and have something to say about, whether it’s a heavy-weight monograph, a piece of escapism, something by a friend or a classic contribution to your discipline. If it’s part of a wider research project, it would be good to hear something about that. Wordcount includes the introductory sentence with your name and job title as well as the book’s author, title and publication details."

Write for The Scotsman

UofG is an established contributor to the "Friends of The Scotsman" section, offering a 750-word comment article once every eight weeks.

The Scotsman has also invited us to contribute to "200 Voices" a year-long series in celebration of its 200th anniversary: we will be supplying a 500-word comment piece every 10 weeks. Staff and student contributors from any part of the University are welcome. This is basically a soapbox for you to write about issues you care about – the key thing is for it not to read like a press release.

Write for The Herald

The Herald newspaper also welcomes contributions for its "Agenda" column. The wordcount here is 780.
