Farewell to Boyd Orr car park

Issued: Mon, 20 Mar 2017 13:47:00 GMT

The Boyd Orr car park will be closing permanently, next week, on Monday 27 March. All vehicles must be removed by Sunday 26 March.

Parking permits will still be valid in all other designated areas of the Gilmorehill campus.

There will be no pedestrian access across the site but alternative routes will be signposted.

Work on the site of the new Learning and Teaching Hub on University Avenue will start from the middle of April. Mathematics and Statistics will move out of their building and into the new, temporary home on University Place, by 17 April. The demolition contractor will then start work to clear the site. This will be a controlled demolition, initially working on internal strip-out with demolition of the building being completed by Autumn this year.
