Where to save your work

You have access to three private filestores where you can store documents and data for your studies and research:

OneDrive

  • 1TB of cloud storage
  • Provided as part of your account
  • You can access files in your OneDrive from anywhere and share them with anyone
  • You can easily recover deleted documents or roll back to previous versions

M: drive

  • 1Gb of network storage
  • You can access this drive from student computer cluster PCs and via remote desktop
  • Your 'My Documents' folder is here, and anything you save to the desktop when working on cluster PCs or remote desktop will automatically be saved here
  • This drive is backed up for you by IT Services

K: drive

  • 1Gb of network storage
  • You can access this drive from student computer cluster PCs and via remote desktop
  • This drive is backed up for you by IT Services

Additional storage

If you need more storage than your M: drive, K: drive and OneDrive will hold, submit a request via the UofG Helpdesk. You can request up to 10GB extra storage space in your M: drive.
