Note: “By an error of imposition, e6b is occupied by the text of f5b, where it is also printed and from the same setting up.  The mistake was discovered after the printing of the outer forme of quire e, and is corrected by a note printed at the foot of e6a ...” - BMC;  in the Glasgow copy the error is further highlighted by an elaborate bracket drawn in pen and ink in the outer margin of e6v to which has been added the word “vacat”. 
Provenance: William Euing (1788-1874), insurance broker, Glasgow:  source unknown;  Euing’s initials “WE/6” and a superseded Euing inventory number “44” in pencil on verso of front free endpaper.
University of Glasgow:  presented by Euing in 1872 according to University Library bookplate on front pastedown. 
Binding: England, 19th-century blind-stamped calf, centre- and cornerpiece style;  marbled endpapers;  sprinkled red and brown-edged leaves;  brown silk bookmark.   Size:  200 x 130 mm. 
Leaf size: 191 x 126 mm.  
Annotations: “Nota” mark in red ink on b6r;  partially deleted annotation in Latin in a 17th-century hand below colophon on h7v. 
Decoration: Initials, paragraph marks, capital strokes supplied in red throughout;  occasional underlining in red;  printer’s device decorated in yellow and pale red. 
Imperfections: Wanting the blank leaf h8.
