Dam, Source of the Whitespout Lane.
The SMPG staff are frequently heard to say "There's no point getting your kit on unless it's coming over the top". The damp patch on the left is not the river but the car park.

How to take a kayaking self portrait. Clue: it's all done with mirrors.
Whitespout
Linn, somewhat too interesting.
The pool below the main drop is very shallow. There is a chicken run, river right, which ends in a sharp left turn emerging in the channel entering in the left third of the picture. Unfortunately at the moment, it is blocked by windblown trees.
After the confluence of the Eglin Lane and the Whitespout Lane the river becomes the Carrick Lane
The

"The washing machine" i.e. rinse and hold. A powerful closed stopper. There is a chicken run down through the boulders and heather river right.
