The University has appointed 6 equality champions, one for each of the strands (age, disability, gender, race, religion and belief and sexual orientation).  These Champions are all members of the University's Senior Management Group.

The Equality and Diversity Strategy Committee (EDSC) is chaired by the Principal and has representation from the Student Representative Council, Human Resources, Trade Unions, Secretary of Court, Recruitment Admissions and Participation Service, and 6 Equality Champions.    The EDSC reports to the Human Rsources Committee for staffing matters and the Education Policy and Strategy Committee for student matters.

Each Equality Champion chairs an equality group which specifically looks at issues relating to their equality strand.  The membership of these groups is available on the Equality and Diversity Unit's web pages
