University of Glasgow Welcome Programme
The International Student Support team also organise and run the Welcome Programme which takes place in September each year. The aim of the Welcome Programme is to assist new international students during the arrival period.
Welcome Team and free transport service: 6 - 15 September 2013
Our Welcome Team will be at Glasgow International airport on the above dates to welcome you and direct you to the University’s transport or the other transport options available. The video will show you our Team in action.
Please note: the Airport Welcome only runs in September.
Welcome Desk on campus: 6 - 27 September 2013
Also, in the first weeks of September, new international students can seek information and assistance from the Welcome Desk when they arrive on the university campus. The Welcome Desk is staffed by the University of Glasgow Welcome team and the team can assist with queries on various topics such as looking for services in the local area, providing bank letters, how to contact other services at the university.
Orientation & Transport Registration
The online registration is now closed. However, you can still attend the unticketed events on the programme including Information Fair, Postgraduate Information Session, Welcome & Introduction Sessions and Student Union events. As we cannot hold tickets beyond the specified Pre-booked Ticket Collection times, any unclaimed pre-booked tickets will be available for redistribution from the Welcome Desk on Tuesday 10 September at 16:00.

We hope you will be able to join us at the International Student Orientation programme but if not, you can still meet us and discuss any queries you may have, either by:
