Fumiko Matsushima, Japan

I studied at the University of Glasgow as part of my undergraduate degree program. Although there were a number of universities in the world with which Soka University had exchange agreements, I chose this university because of its long history and internationally excellent reputation in research.  From an international student’s point of view, I can say the most attractive points of Glasgow University are the friendly personality of students, their sincere attitudes toward their study, and the strong support from university staffs and professors.  Through this programme, I made many good friendships with international and local students and broadened my horizons toward the world as well as academic experience. They are very precious to me in my life.

profile_fm_middle_170Despite studying very hard, I still managed to have lots of fun at the University. This is due to the sincere attitudes of the students toward their study, their friendly personalities and great support of university staff and professors. I really enjoyed my study at Glasgow University. I also joined some social events such as Burn's Night, Christmas Party becoming a member of Alchemist Society and International Society.

I am extremely satisfied with my study abroad experience at Glasgow University and had a really great time there. Through this programme, I broadened my academic experience. I did also formed many good friendships with international students which is the most precious thing to me. Now I am really happy to share my experience at Glasgow University with my friends in Japan and if someone wish to study abroad, I strongly recommend them to choose Glasgow University!
