Emily Robinson, New Zealand

I enjoyed being an exchange student in general. I loved the sports teams Glasgow offered and was a part of the swimming and waterpolo club. The inter-university sports league was amazing and NZ has nothing like it.

What are the three things that you have enjoyed most about your time here?

  • The people in my class
  • Being on the swim team
  • Staying in the accommodation.

My Studies

Glasgow offered Sport and Exercise Physiology in the Faculty of Biomedical Science as well as being a central location in order to travel around Europe.  The small classes meant I got to make friends with my class mates and know the teaching staff. I really enjoyed the labs too.

How would you plan a perfect day spent in Glasgow?

For a start it wouldn't be raining! I would have a proper Scottish breakfast with eggs, bacon, baked beans and potato scones - potato scones were the best. Then walk through the west end exploring the parks, galleries and vintage shops. Lunch in the West end. Pre dinner drink at the Chip and then head into town for a nice meal and go clubbing.
