How to apply and visa information

Before you arrive, there are a few things you will need to do and this page outlines essential information, to help make everything as easy as possible.

How to apply

Each course page has a link to the relevant application, so to start with, find your chosen course page.

You’ll see the application button at the top of each page.

Application documents

Filling in the application form is straightforward, but you will be asked to upload a number of documents, so make sure you have those ready. You will need:

  • A copy of your English qualification, if English isn’t your first language (see the entry requirements on the individual course pages, for more information on our language requirements).
  • The photo page of your passport that you will use to travel to the UK (this can be uploaded later in the process if for example, you are currently applying for a new passport).
  • Finally, if you are one of our Summer Research Project students, you will need to tell us your project preferences.

Applicant Self-Service System

Once your application has been received, you will have access to our Applicant Self-Service System, and this is used for to check the status of your application, upload any additional documents, update your personal details, and most importantly, accept your offer.

Your application will be processed by our Admissions Team, who work closely with Summer School staff. If you need any assistance with applying, using Applicant Self-Service or accepting your offer, there is help available.

Or you can email us with your specific query at internationalsummerschools@glasgow.ac.uk.

Accepting your offer
