Venezuela
We have been welcoming students from Venezuela for many years. In fact, Venezuela and Scotland continue to share many links. In August 2007, the Scottish Arts Council launched a programme developed in Venezuela by Maestro Abreu in Caracas 30 years ago. This initiative, dubbed the ‘El Sistema’ programme, will help children and young people develop and grow, using orchestral music tuition. This unique and historic agreement between our two countries will ensure Venezuela’s influence in helping develop Scotland further.
