Entry requirements

We welcome students to the University of Glasgow with a variety of different qualifications. Therefore we have a team of experts that will equate any of the qualifications you hold to our entry requirements.  All you have to do, is let us know the type of qualification you have and the grade you hold in it.

Undergraduate

The current requirements are one of the following qualifications at 5 overall for Arts, Science, Social Science and Engineering:

For Engineering, students will also need Maths and Physics at 5 and for Science will need any required sciences.

International Baccalaureate

Applications with 32-36 points will be considered for direct admission to most schools. Please note that there are certain exceptions.

Postgraduate

We will consider applications to Masters degrees from graduates holding a Bachelors Degree.  Applicants with a GPA of 3.0 or above may be considered for postgraduate study.

School of Law Scholarship

The School of Law offers a  reduction on the international fees charged to applicants from the EEA who are non-EU nationals who come to the University of Glasgow to study for an LLM degree.

The scholarships, tenable from September 2010, take the form of a £2500 reduction from the full international fee.

All EEA applicants who are non-EU nationals will be considered for the scholarships.
