New Zealand
New Zealand and Scotland share a common heritage. Around 50% of New Zealanders can claim Scottish ancestry and in fact, the city of Dunedin, which boasts to be the most Scottish city in New Zealand , was founded by members of the Free Church of Scotland, led by none other than poet Robert Burns’ nephew, Reverend Thomas Burns. With such a historical and familial tie, it is no wonder New Zealanders feel a kinship with Scotland and a desire to study here.
