Hong Kong
The University of Glasgow has been welcoming students from Hong Kong since 1883. We have long-standing relationships with many institutions in Hong Kong, as well as strong alumni links.
Scotland and Hong Kong are both small, flexible, advanced economies. Scotland has a population of over 5 million; slightly smaller than the population of Hong Kong at 7 million. Chinese culture is very influential in Glasgow, with a wealth of Chinese restaurants, supermarkets and traditional Chinese medicine stores in the city. Glasgow even has a small China Town.
The University of Glasgow Hong Kong Society is open to all those with Chinese/Hong Kong backgrounds or those with a general interest in Hong Kong.
Have a look at the Visit Scotland brochure to get an idea of what Scotland and Glasgow have to offer!
