To establish a learning resource for medical students and students of the professions allied to medicine.
This project will provide integrated tutorial and reference material on the functional anatomy and biomechanics of the lower limb, supported by interactive self-test sections and an illustrated glossary. The project will combine text, image, animation and video material into an accessible resource for medical education.
The resource will provide a common framework for the understanding of the functional role of the lower limb, facilitating communication between professions.
A common undestanding will allow a more holistic approach to the treatment of patients resulting in enhanced care.
