Volunteers wanted

to work with medical students

The Faculty of Medicine is looking for volunteers to act as 'simulated patients' to help medical students develop their bedside skills.

As a 'simulated patient', you are asked to consult with medical students using a technique known as 'role play' - where you are given a role to act out that will help the medical student practise their consultation technique.

• What is a simulated patient?
• Why do we need simulated patients?
• What will I be expected to do?
• What sort of role will I be expected to do?
• What training will I get and how often will I be needed?
• Will I be paid?
