Volunteers wanted
to work with medical students
The Faculty of Medicine is looking for volunteers to act as 'simulated patients' to help medical students develop their bedside skills.
As a 'simulated patient', you are asked to consult with medical students using a technique known as 'role play' - where you are given a role to act out that will help the medical student practise their consultation technique.
- What is a simulated patient?
- Why do we need simulated patients?
- What will I be expected to do?
- What sort of role will I be expected to do?
- What training will I get and how often will I be needed?
- Will I be paid?
- What benefit is there to me?
